About

About Me

I (she/they) am a mental health therapist specializing in somatic treatment of trauma. I identify as queer and non-binary/gender fluid. I received my BA in English Language & Literature from the University of Michigan and my MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I have an integrative practice, focused on client-centered and trauma-informed practices, with an emphasis on somatic and experiential techniques, but also incorporating yoga, art, and behavioral techniques. I am training to be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and am trained in brainspotting, a technique that advances somatic processing of trauma. I started Breaking Ground Counseling in 2017 to better serve communities I care about. I advocate for social justice, racial equity, and equal rights for those who were born or experience themselves as female, queer, BIPOC, or marginalized in our society. I live and work on land previously under the stewardship of the Multnomah, Clackamas, and Cowlitz tribes, amongst others, and forcibly taken by white settlers of European descent, and I work to honor their struggle and losses but also their wisdom and strength. *Uninsured and self-pay clients are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of services that will be provided at intake. **Breaking Ground Counseling is an NHSC-certified mental health site. As per NHSC site regulations and guidelines, no client will be turned away based on that individual’s ability to pay, or whether payment will be made via Medicaid/OHP or Medicare. Sliding scale fees for service are available to all individuals without insurance who meet specific requirements; please ask about options during initial consult appointments. Clients who are requesting sliding scale will be asked for documentation to verify income and family size, if applicable. No client will be discriminated against base on that individual’s race, sex, skin color, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.** ***I am currently accepting supervisees for licensure supervision. My rate is $100/hr, with sliding scale for BIPOC/LGBTQ+ clinicians.
